Position
Ghisha is an AI lifecycle-management platform that lets enterprises and governments adopt AI inside their own infrastructure, across a deployment spectrum running from managed SaaS through hybrid and on-premises to fully air-gapped. SteadyHash entered the company's pre-A round, disclosed in June 2026 — the month US export controls pulled a frontier model offline for eighteen days and made sovereign, multi-vendor-routed AI the cleanest conclusion in our research. We are underwriting the control plane, not the model layer.

What They Build
Ghisha describes itself as a sovereign AI lifecycle-management platform: deploy, govern, and observe AI securely inside your own infrastructure, "without losing control" [1]. It ships as four products over one control plane [3]:
- Ghisha Portal — the enterprise AI workspace: model orchestration across SaaS, self-hosted and air-gapped models, a unified chat UI, cost intelligence with centralized budget controls, role-based access control, AI guardrails, and compliance-ready audit and observability [3].
- Ghisha Launchpad — a sovereign coding platform with full air-gapped support and CLI integration, multi-model workflows that switch models mid-pipeline, and internal app generation with built-in cost management [3].

Why We Invested
The firm's own position. Our June 2026 research recorded the first export-control suspension of a frontier model — eighteen days in which the models that had just filed to go public were switched off by regulation — and concluded that frontier access had acquired a sovereign-risk premium that should be priced like exchange outages: rare, external, fat-tailed. An eighteen-day supply interruption is the single cleanest argument for sovereignty, air-gap capability, and multi-vendor routing — which is Ghisha's product, almost line for line: one API over many providers, routing by availability and policy, and deployment options that keep working when the hosted channel does not [2][3].
The segment Ghisha targets is where that risk bites hardest and where hosted-only vendors structurally cannot compete: if the deployment must be air-gapped, no amount of frontier capability substitutes for running inside the customer's perimeter. And the deployment evidence is unusually concrete for the stage — three named customer statements from independent teams on the company's own site [1]. Risks We Accept
The firm's own judgement. The risk we accept is that a frontier vendor eventually ships governance good enough for regulated buyers, compressing the independent control-plane category; our judgement is that sovereignty and air-gap are precisely the requirements a hosted frontier vendor is least able to meet.
